Artist and Art Educator

Originally from rural Maine, Jennifer Farrington has a love of nature and the resourcefulness of a New Englander that is reflected in her work. Ephemera, fabric, acrylic transfers, and found objects make their way into her art.  Often reminiscent of memories or dreams, her work is both ethereal and firmly rooted in the natural world. Femininity, personal history, and overconsumption are recurring themes.

As an art educator, Farrington believes that teaching creative problem solving skills is paramount in whatever her students choose to pursue in life. She strives to instill a love of image making and art history, and brings an exuberance and passion to her classrooms.
